This has been quite a year, hasn’t it? 2021, carrying the energy of The Hierophant in the Tarot cards, gave us a lot of opportunities to look into the lessons that we needed to learn to grow spiritually, breaking up old paradigms and belief systems, to align to the ones that really move our soul and brings us to enlightenment.
This years has been all about finding our own truth and letting old ways fall to pave the ways for the new, to become the best version of ourselves. This is why you might have been open to work on yourself, maybe finding a mentor, a coach or therapist that could help you in the process. Or you might have started taking classes or reading books of self-development and personal transformation.
Next year, 2022, brings another energy that continues on our soul evolution. But first, what’s the benefit of knowing the Tarot Card of the Year? It sets the theme, the general energy and vibration of the year, to give you guidance into your personal transformation and how certain things can be a challenge for you.
Let’s look at how we calculate the Tarot Card of the Year.
2022: 2+0+2+2=6. From the Major Arcana, the card is The Lovers.
Many tarot readers give The Lovers card a romantic meaning (which is a very traditional interpretation) a type of love though, that seems to be sent from heaven. Nevertheless, when we look at it under a more transformational view, it focuses around the duality of a choice. Facing the existential choice between two paths: on one side taking the choice of transcendence, or not; going for a moral and ethical choice… or not; taking a risk… or not. Talks about the duality of Light and Shadow.
It also shows the divine masculine (active, proactive, strong, confident, passionate, courageous) and feminine energy (compassionate, intuitive, wise, healing, connected to nature, empathetic), both in balance, supported by God/The Universe.
My take on The Lovers as the Tarot Card of the year is the following:
2022 it’s going to be a year when we’ll be supported (by God, the Creatrix, Akasha, The Universe) to integrate the masculine and feminine within us and have both energies in balance. Take an honest look within and recognize, do you mostly lean to the masculine, or the feminine? This year, we have to learn to be centered in both energies, in harmony.
We’ll have the chance to open ourselves to a loving partnership, we have to learn though, that love, first, starts within. Loving our whole selves, in all aspects, with our lights and shadows,. This lights up a spark in us that we’ll open our heart for a partner that is our equal, that offers love and respect and is pure magnetism.
We can learn to create in partnership, to open our heart and make decisions based not only on logic, but also from intuition, both feminine and masculine, in balance.
